Take Time For God
This week I was reminded by one of my former Youth Kids’ Chris Truett, who now pastors a very large church in another town, Bethel FWB Church, Kinston, to make the day and not waste the day (make the day count). We as Christians are very important to this earth.
Jesus tells us in His word In Matthew 5:13-16:
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
During these days when we may not be able to go and do as we have before, that does not change our responsibility to minister to the world around us. You can still pick up the phone can call a neighbor, a family friend, a co-worker, or a church member and just let them know you care and that you wanted to check on them. We still need to be the light in the midst of darkness. We can still pray for others. We can still support these services of our church online if not in person.
As my Friend Chris Truett stated to his people in his video message “Don’t just count the days until this crisis is over, go out and make the days count for Jesus!
