Christians are Called to show their Love
As we face the uncertainty of this troublesome election cycle that could change the way America stands before God and limits our Chrisitan liberties, I know one truth that will last throughout time and space and yes election cycles. That truth comes from John 13:34-35
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Yes I believe the soul of America is at stake and every Christian needs to vote in hopes of holding the wolf at bay another cycle but the reality is this is not our home. We are only passing through it. While we are here, we are commanded to love one another as Christ loved us. The is no greater love than that God has for us.
John 3:16-21
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
So as we face this election, we can hope for the continued grace of God in our lives, but no matter the outcome, our commandment is still the same. We must show the world we are Christians by our love!
