Christians, be careful how you vote! God is watching!
2 John 1 states
“9Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
I have many friends and associates who claim to be Christians yet vote for those who would violate 2 John 1:9-10. They support “A women’s right to choose” in other words the killing of unborn babies; they support “new lifestyles”, in other words gay, lesbian, transvestites; they support those that would confuse children with “Gender Identity” in other words into wondering even what gender they are. If these areas alone do not meet the standard expressed in 2 John 1:9-10, I do not know what else we could call it. This is not an attempt to demonize those that are fooled into believing these lies of satan but to confront the Christians that know better. We need to pray for those trapped in these sins because they know not the savior. They need love and compassion from us, not hatred. We hate the sin but not the poor lost sinner. They need our savior, our prayers, and not our wrath! But the Chrisitan, that is a different story. Jesus only always attacked the religious crowd. See, they knew better but chose to do the wrong thing.
You, who call yourself a Christian, may believe the rich are getting richer and therefore want to vote for the party that will take it away from the wicked rich and gives it to you. You may believe we live in a society where one race is keeping another down and therefore want to vote for the party that will fight for one race over another. You may believe our old form of government is not the way America should still go. These issues are real and you may fall on one side or the other of these, but if the candidate supports sins that would be an abomination, you as a Christian, cannot support them without verse 11 taking effect. “For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”. You may say I am not in favor of those things but.. there is no “but” in God’s eyes. He says it plainly in His Word. If you even bid him “good luck” YOU are a partaker of his evil deeds!!
Be careful who you vote for! People are not perfect, nor can we expect them to be, but we can see what they stand for. Democrat, Republican, or Whatever. It matters not as long as they support God’s Word as best as anyone can, striving to do what is right in God’s sight. God is watching and He does care how you vote!
